Walter Barandiaran

The Argentum Group

Walter is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of The Argentum Group.  Argentum is a New York-based growth equity firm that partners with entrepreneurial owners to build industry-leading B2B software, technology-enabled and business services companies.  The firm invests in companies with revenues of $5 million to $25 million, providing capital to accelerate growth, fund acquisitions and / or generate shareholder liquidity.  Argentum fills the growing gap between early-stage venture capital investors and later stage growth equity firms by targeting bootstrapped, capital efficient companies.

Walter received a BBA from Baruch College (CUNY) and attended the NYU Stern School of Business MBA Program.  For ten years, he was a trustee of The Baruch College Fund, and has served on the Advisory Board of the Lawrence N. Field Center for Entrepreneurship.

Walter is a first-generation immigrant, born in Lima, Peru, who arrived in the U.S. at the age of 18.  Walter enjoys biking and hiking, having recently completed a bike trip through Portugal and a hike on the Inca Trail.
